Sadly, I was hit with chronic illness after the birth of my daughter. I was diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses like Mast Cell Activation, POTS, Breast Implant Illness, chronic fatigue syndrome, brain fog, chronic pain, gut dysbiosis (SIBO, parasites, candida), hormone issues (postpartum), exercise intolerance, food sensitivities, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  

After years of going to different doctors with not much luck I started looking into plant medicines. Cannabis and Psilocybin were my go to for many years but didn’t fully heal me. These were more used just to tolerate my underlying symptoms of pain, anxiety, and depression. Even though they did help to an extent they weren’t my answer.

I found myself after a couple years still living in Florida reacting to the salt water and the sun. When I would go to the beach and jump in the water, I would break out in hives all over my face. Plus, I also developed a sensitivity to the heat and sunlight which caused me to have severe symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome.

More and more I questioned staying in Florida. I went to so many doctors without help and I found myself running out of options.

My husband and I started looking into other options and possibly other states to move to since I was so reactive to the heat, sun, and salt water. I never thought I would move from FL because it was my home, my safe haven, my comfort. But my chronic illnesses had other plans for me.

After looking into other possible states to move to and talking to friends we decided on Albuquerque, New Mexico. Albuquerque, New Mexico is known for the Sandia Mountains, higher elevation, dry climate, seasons, Native American Reservations, crystals, healing stones and holistic health. I read about people healing from tuberculosis just but staying high up in the mountains. I was completely drawn to here more on a subconscious level and I wasn’t completely sure why. All I know is I was being guided for a reason and I listened.

Shortly after the decision to move we landed ourselves in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not long after we found ourselves immersed in the culture and quickly realized how much we fit in.

I was able to find a couple holistic doctors in Albuquerque that helped me get some relief of symptoms but not fully. These doctors gave me the idea that my breast implants could be the culprit behind a lot of my symptoms/ diagnoses.  I had a hard time accepting this thought but knew I needed to do something and fast. After 13 years of having my implants, I had them removed. I found a lot of my symptoms/ diagnoses were tied to the implants and found some relief.

I still delt with lingering symptoms after explant and knew there was more that needed to be done to fully heal myself. Even though I removed the culprit there was a lot of damage done to my mind, body, and soul. Dealing with chronic illnesses does something to the soul and I still found myself in a dark place.

I came across Kambo and the funny thing is I am not sure how, it’s like it just appeared to me. I had no idea what it even was so I started digging deeper and found it fascinating. I read how it could deeply detox the body and how it has its own intelligence once inside the body. I quickly scheduled to be served by a practitioner in New Mexico. I immediately noticed benefits from the first dose. I found myself having clarity for the first time in years, pain relief, energy, a sense of wellbeing and an inner knowing this was part of my healing journey.

Since then, I have been divinely guided in the direction of my own healing on a deeper level.
